A house would not be a home without a large collection of various furry friends to fill all the nooks and crannies.  The Hickey household has a bunch of them...and they are all "unique".  Please take a moment to visit their pages on the internet.  And remember, they all accept treats in the mail....so if the spirit moves you!

You will find information on all of our animals.  Our most beloved is Mrs. Hagaman.  She is a little terrier that we adopted in Okinawa, and has been with the Hickey family the longest.  Her personality is unsurpassed...and she flies when she runs.

Mr. Bear is our Collie.  He is titled - Sir Laddy Bear of Misty Oak.  Don't think that he likes that title, but he is stuck with it.  He is a gentle giant, that has allowed a great collection of little ones into the house without a problem.

Tucker is our first Chihuahua.  He is a little man of great character.  If you know Chihuahuas, then you know Tucker.  He is bold, daring, and unafraid....and takes on Mr. Bear as if he were in the same weight class.

Dan & June are two little zebra finches that have lived in this house as long as we have.  So far, they have not been successful in raising any young....though there have been lots of eggs.  In the beginning, Dan spent most of his days with a bald spot on the back of his head.  Truly hen-pecked.  Now, they get along fine, but are currently nesting in twin beds.  If you have any insights into these bright little animals, let us know!

Cinnamon Bun is a rex rabbit.  We used to consider her a bunny, but man has she grown.  She loves people, and is playful...when given the time out of her pen.  However...Mr. Bear has a bit of the wolf in him, and though he is a gentle giant, we don't trust him with dinner on the hoof.

Chuckey is probably the oldest gerbil in existence.  He lives in Patrick's room, and is now sharing his cage with a new face.....Timothy.  Tim is the younger...by years.  They both get along smashingly.  The trick to introducing a new little one into the lair of an established gerbil appears to be putting a dab of cologne on the nose of each.  No threatening smells that way!
